Hate groups on the web and what you can do about it....

There is something pressing on my mind that I feel the need to talk about. It's hate groups. Hate groups are living and breathing stronger than ever thanks to the internet. The argument that many hate groups use to breed is Freedom of Speech. The funny thing is that many of these groups are so hateful that they would like nothing more than to see America fail. So should they be able to hide behind the 1st amendment?





In my opinion, I believe once you denounce a country, you forfeit your rights to be protected by them. Hate groups are a form of terrorism and need to be stopped. While I do feel that everyone should be able to have their own opinion, I think that ultimately you have to respect the liberties of others around you.

I don't think that ANYONE should have the ability to cause another's life misery through hate speech or violence. It's disgusting.

Where I live, there is a very well known hate group that is coming for a visit to protest around area high schools. The cowards picked a day that the kids are going to be testing so that they will be subjected to this hate. We are holding a peaceful counter protest to see if we can block them from causing these students emotional distress.

One of my favorite informative sites to stop hate is Tolerance.org. Tolerance.org is run by the Southern Poverty Law Center which worked with Rosa Parks up until her passing. Their site is wonderful!

For those of us who are living our lives online, I ask you to stand up to hate and stop forwarding racist and or sexist jokes, I ask you to stop LOL'ing at hateful remarks, and stop using "gay" as a derogatory adjective.

Good morning digi-verse!

Today is one of those days that I'm waking up bored! My wife has to take our only car to work, and I need to find a way to make some cash online. I could spend my day filling out surveys or I could build a website if I had a client or two who needed one. So what will I do??

Ancestry.com-Knowing your roots

Have you ever asked yourself who you really are? Do you know anything about where you came from? Who were your grandparents really? Where did they come from? Who were their parents? and their parents? Did they leave their mark on their world? Were they rich? Did they leave you anything cool to share with the rest of us?

If you haven't already, take a trip over to Ancestry.com and find out. Right now they are having a real 2 week free trial. I've stumbled across a few other sites that said they had free trials but they billed first and didn't deliver on services.

I'll admit that when I first thought about trying out the service, I figured I'd jump on, find the folks I want to find, and be done. I won't need to extend my membership. It's been 2 days and I am totally 100% hooked!

I've probably spent 20 hours in 2 days finding my family lineage exploring every single person and I don't ever anticipate not being a member to this site!

It is my absolute favorite site ever built (yet). The only way to describe how I feel when I make a connection to another person in my tree is to say that, it's without a doubt the epitome a puzzle.
Or like reading a book about your self, every chapter asks a question, just as each chapter answers a question to the one before it.

Every person is a story and I am just finding out mine. I'll post things as I find them for those who are interested.

Free stuff

I've always loved free stuff. Since the beginning of the internet I've found it really amazing at how much free stuff you can find if you look in the right places.

The coolest free thing I ever got was a pair of Asic Gel's from WebMD.com They were giving them away to the first however many subscribers they had acquired up until that point and gave them away as Christmas presents. It's one of the many reasons that I developed a love for marketing and advertising.

From now on, I'm going to try and focus this blog more on reviewing sites and finding cool free stuff for you. If you know of any cool ones let me know and I'll check it out!

Love the insightfulness and compassion for equality in this kid!

Will Phillips, incase you haven't seen this, is a 10 year old little boy who has taken a stand against saying the pledge of Allegiance in the US until all people are treated with equality. He specifically has said that he will not say the pledge until gays and lesbians have the right to marry because he doesn't think it's fair.

That being said, many kids in his school have started to make fun of him and assume it means he's gay, however he has no problem setting the record straight. He's not gay but he does believe in equality.

One look at the comments on YouTube and you'll see the level of hatred that exists in this country. As a member of the gay and lesbian community, I have built a nice bubble for myself to keep hate out, and it's things like this that remind me of how evil our society is.

We are supposed to be a more progressive society yet the barbaric levels of hatred that come out when GLBT issues come up is terrifying. I hope that more people like Will stand up and speak out so that we can educate these ignorant and narrow minded homophobes before more of us get hurt and killed.

More people need to take a stand! Do you have the courage that this 10 year old does? Would you face the firing squad for the rights of others? Let me hear from you!

Another Earthquake has struck Chile

Geez! Wth is going on with all of the earthquakes lately.

I think Cali is going to get a big one within the next 3-6 months and I hope that my friends and family over there are all safe! Although it hasn't happened yet, it will! Yikes!

The folks of Chile have got to be totally over the shaking of the ground. What are you doing to be prepared in the event of a natural disaster?



On Monday, here in the US tornado's struck in Oklahoma, Wednesday they deadly beasts hit Arkansas and now these storms are on their way into Florida along with the possibility for serious flooding.
